Canning Waves Swim Club (formerly Rossmoyne Swimming Club) is a club that focuses on fun, fitness and confidence. We use the 25m outdoor pool at Lynwood High School which is accessed via Yew Place off Metcalfe Road, Parkwood.

 

Our 2019/20 swimming season will commence on Monday, 28th October, 2019 and conclude on Friday, 8th April, 2020.

We have a Christmas break from 13th December, 2019 through to 17th January, 2020.

​

Training nights will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday commencing at 4:30 pm.

 

Intermediates and seniors start time will change to 5pm once we determine the number of swimmers in each level.

 

The coach will determine the swimming level your child will be placed in.

 

Juniors will swim for up to 30 minutes while intermediates and seniors swim for 1 hour.

During the season we will hold club nights every 3 weeks on either a Monday or Wednesday in place of training. This will give swimmers the opportunity to help prepare them for their school swimming carnivals. Swimmers will be timed with the results recorded to enable the swimmer and coach to see their improvement over the season.

 

Parents'/Guardian's assistance is required on club night to help set up and pack away starting blocks, lane ropes and pool flags as well as being timekeepers for the races.

Insurance for this season is with Sports Underwriting Australia (a copy of the policy disclosure is available at request). Please note that as we are no longer with Swimming WA, our swimmers are not covered for competitive swimming at external meets. If your child would like to swim competitively as part of the Swimming WA program, you will need to join Swimming WA independently.
